Resale Certificate Requirements

To process your application, we'll need a valid sales tax resale exemption certificate. Please note that requirements for these certificates can vary by state. Generally, we'll be looking for an official document issued by your state's taxing authority that clearly shows your business's legal name, address, and a valid sales tax or resale permit number.

We cannot accept other forms of business registration, seller permits, EIN numbers, etc. in place of this specific resale exemption certificate.

Your form, which will vary by state, generally needs to include:

Your Business Legal Name: The name under which your business is officially registered.
Your Business Address: The physical location of your business.
Your State's Sales Tax or Resale Permit Number: This is a unique number issued by your state's department of revenue or similar taxing authority, confirming your authorization to collect and remit sales tax.
A Description of the Type of Business You Operate: (Sometimes required, depending on the state and form)
A Statement that the Items are Being Purchased for Resale: (Often pre-printed on official forms)
